Being a professional dancer her whole adult life has taught her great discipline and given her great fitness and flexibility but has unfortunately brought along many injuries. She was sent to Pilates for many years for rehabilitation and fitness and it has been nothing but beneficial to her and her career. Having such a love for it and for teaching, she decided to start a career as a Pilates Instructor. Since then she has completed: Full training in STOTT PILATES ® and Total Barre™ with MERRITHEW™ and intend on continuing to build on her repertoire. Being active and helping others has always been something she has been passionate about. So being an instructor in both Pilates and Dance is a dream come true. Sharing her knowledge with others and helping them achieve their goals, is truly rewarding and is one of the leading reasons as to why she does this very rewarding work.
Sally’s love of Pilates has run parallel to a 40 year career as a make-up artist in the film industry. It began with Penny Latey in a yoga studio in North Sydney in 1989. Sally has also studied the Franklin Method, BASI Pilates (completing their Advanced Education Certificate Course in Pilates for Injuries and Pathologies), Yamuna Zake’s Body Rolling and Footwork and other well respected Pilates practioners.
